Hi! My name is Melanie Rogoff, and I am a radio show host of Euromerica at Arizona State University’s radio station ( KASC 1330 A.M. Blaze Radio) as well as the creator of a charity CD series called “Euromerica and Friends”, which aims to raise money for Parkinson’s Disease research by donating 100% album proceeds to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Disease research. I started this charity CD series because my grandmother of blessed memory, Irene Weiner, passed away from Parkinson’s (PD) in 2009, and I wanted to honor her memory. Additionally, I want to speed up the process of finding a cure for Parkinson’s, one of the most horrifying and surprisingly common neurological degenerative diseases. I wanted to donate proceeds to The Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) because they are one of the largest organizations dedicated to promoting awareness and funding research for PD treatment and cures
“Euromerica and Friends: Volume 2” is the second installation of my charity CD series dedicated to fighting Parkinson’s through the power of music. Artists on my CD live all over the world – some in Arizona, California, and New York, with others living in Australia, England, France, and Switzerland. The CD costs $12, and features 21 songs, with 24 artists total on the charity CD. My hope is to raise $1,200 by March 15th, 2017. I hope that you will join me in the fight against Parkinson’s Disease by donating at: www.euromericaradio.bandcamp.com.
One day, there will be a cure, and on that day, you will be able to say that you helped fund research for it. Let’s make the world a better place, a place where Parkinson’s Disease will be cured. Donate now at www.euromericaradio.bandcamp.com
